🎄 Let the Festivities Commence!

The holidays are nearly upon us! And this is the last newsletter before they kick off in earnest, so we wanted to make sure our community is up to speed with all things Digitex.

For a brief time this week, it seemed that the Grinches were out in force when Bitcoin took several nosedives to dip below $6,600 for the first time in over six months. At the time of writing, the market has undergone a correction, and BTC is back above $7k once again.

If you've been testing your trading skills on the Digitex Beta, hopefully, you managed to follow these swings and make a healthy profit in DGTX testnet tokens on some timely short trades this week!

If not, then there's no better time to get some practice in! The markets are still pretty volatile, and research suggests that Bitcoin tends to undergo price increases right before a holiday. The Digitex Beta provides the perfect opportunity to hone your trading skills under real market conditions, before our big mainnet launch next year.

From the Blog

As the year draws to a close, we've been reflecting on our mission for 2020. Of course, the number one priority in a practical sense is opening the doors on a mainnet launch. But Adam's vision in creating Digitex has always been to create more winning traders.

In the first of this week's blog posts, we discuss how the winning trader mentality has been the driving force for bringing Digitex to life, and how it can help you become a winning trader yourself.

Cryptocurrencies have become more popular over the years, but so far, we've yet to see a "killer app." All the feedback we've been getting from traders on our beta platform is that Digitex's ladder trading interface and zero-fee model is addictive, making it potentially highly appealing to those who enjoy gaming and gambling. Could Digitex prove to be the killer app that catapults crypto into the mainstream? We present the argument in the second of this week's posts on the blog.

Against the backdrop of a pretty flat 2019 in the crypto markets, together with many big projects failing to deliver on their initial promise, it would be easy to get despondent about the state of the crypto space.

However, there are plenty of positive indicators, including a buoyant crypto job market and huge inward investment. In the last of this week's posts, regular contributor and trader Luke Green makes the case for Digitex as one of the up-and-coming projects with a solid use case that will last the distance, even where others fail.

Digitex in the Press

It's not just us looking forward to 2020. CoinRivet published a list of predictions for the year ahead, giving some insights into the kinds of trends we can expect to see dominating the crypto space next year. Of course, regulation will continue to be a hot topic, and scalability isn't going anywhere either.

But among the newer developments are central bank-backed coins, and of course, zero-fee trading! Adam added his two cents' worth to the discussion, explaining how exchanges can attract a new kind of trader if they stop killing profits with fees.

In this piece, he's also backed up by Shamir Karkal, a digital banking entrepreneur, who reaffirmed that larger firms such as Robinhood moving into crypto will create a booming market for zero-fee trading.

So, that's all from us! We'd like to send a big, festive thank you to all our supporters who've stuck with us during this year, which we know has been difficult at times. Digitex is now on the up-and-up, and there's every reason to get excited about the year ahead.

We have some absolutely stellar announcements coming up over the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled.

But in the meantime, eat, drink, be merry, and look forward to zero-fee futures trading erupting onto the crypto markets in 2020!

Happy Holidays!
