100 New Mainnet Traders + Adam's Latest Trading Video

As spring starts to turn towards summer, the weeks are rushing past us in a blur here at Digitex! With a fresh injection of liquidity and enthusiasm, we've just brought on board another 100 traders to the DFE mainnet!

There will be more to come from these guys once they've spent the weekend soaking in the joys of zero-fee futures trading.

Otherwise, we have so much going on here at Digitex, we're having to pack multiple announcements into a single day!

Take Monday, for example. We started this week with a blog post that covered a lot of ground. Not only did we have the sterling feedback from our newest group of mainnet traders, but we also provided an update straight from the development team, announced we're opening up a new photo contest for our mainnet group, and confirmed a brand-new DGTX token listing on Indian exchange, CoinDCX! Users in India can now buy DGTX directly with Indian rupees, and other users can buy DGTX with USDT. Check out all the details in our Monday blog post.

Our resident TA expert Ali Martinez was back on Tuesday - this time to share the benefit of his expertise in using technical indicators. Knowing how to time the price movements of BTC can yield big profits on the #DFE - a futures exchange that offers high leverage and zero-fees.

In his latest blog post, Ali explains how to use three different technical indicators - Bollinger Bands, Stop and Reverse, and Fibonacci Retracements - as a means of predicting which way the markets will go. If you're interested in ways of balancing out your trading risk, check out Ali's latest post.

As our regular readers are aware, we've been on an intensive hiring spree as we run-up to the full public launch of the DFE. Our latest Team Spotlight introduces Yuliya Sporysh, our Director of Exchange Operations, who performs a pivotal role in coordinating the interactions of different teams, and planning and prioritizing development work against urgent fixes and change requests.

In this far-reaching Q&A, Yuliya shares a lot about her role, about herself, and her goals for the DFE. We're proud to have such a strong female leader as part of our senior management team, so Wednesday's blog post is definitely not to be missed. Check it out!

On Thursday, our mainnet trader Sulla Felix returns for another piece in his series of educational articles. Known as "The Numbers Guy," here he lives up to his name once again with a comprehensive explanation of how dramatically even the smallest trading fees can affect your performance. He uses compound interest as an example to show how much this affects your trading over time and you'll be shocked at the difference in results you will get when you don't have any trading costs constantly eroding your bank. Read Sulla's analysis to find out more.

And finally, we finished this week with a video straight from the man himself! We realized that since the mainnet launch, Adam has been so busy working that he hasn't yet shown off his trading skills on his own live product! So he decided to remedy this, and our final post of the week is a video from Adam.

In the video, Adam walks through a few trades, and shares some more information about what we have coming up on the DFE. These range from minor UX improvements, to an imminent announcement about our spot price calculations, to some bigger developments in the pipeline that you can expect to hear about over the coming months.

It may be week after week of action for us right now – but we aren't stopping there. We have plenty more up our sleeves starting on Monday next week so keep your eyes peeled for yet more exciting news and announcement from the DFE. In the meantime, we wish all our supporters a sunny weekend and thanks for sticking with us on the journey to zero-fee trading!

More Traders Onboarded: DFE Mainnet Journey Continues

So last week, we increased our traders from 20 to 70, and yesterday, we onboarded another 50 to bring the total to 120 traders live on the mainnet! Our newcomers are already having a ball on the ladder, bringing a fresh injection of liquidity and yet more community spirit to the #DFE.

We started the week with a blog post recapping the whirlwind of a weekend. The Bitcoin bears had been on a rampage, forcing a drop in price of nearly 10% over a little more than an hour.

Some of our traders raked it in from the shorts, but the sharp swing caused a previously hidden bug to emerge on the mainnet. Thankfully, with only a small group participating, we were able to provide a refund to those affected by it, and the issue didn't cause any detriment to the overwhelmingly positive sentiments from our trading community. Our blog post explains all the details.

Our new TA expert Ali Martinez has been taking note of the fact that all this volatility in the price of BTC is causing volume and open interest in crypto futures to surge. Furthermore, BitMEX doesn't appear to have recovered its reputation after the collapse of its liquidation engine during "Black Thursday."
"High Interest in Crypto Derivatives is Bullish for DGTX"

Ali's belief is that this upward trajectory in interest bodes well for the value of the DGTX token, and his technical analysis also supports this view. Read his TA in this week's Tuesday post.

Next up on the blog this week was our long-term DGTX HODLer and mainnet trader Luke Green. Luke has always been one of Digitex's most outspoken supporters, and his latest post is no different!

From the first moment to onboarding the mainnet, looking ahead to the future of the Digitex brand and, of course, the outlook for the DGTX token, Luke shares his latest insights into what's to come for his favorite project in crypto.

One of Digitex's core aims is to create more winning traders. Our Thursday blog contributor and mainnet trader Sulla Felix is helping us bring this vision to life, with the latest in his series on Digitex for Beginners.

Sulla's other pseudonym is The Numbers Guy, and here he lives up to his name with a deep-dive into Digitex's signature ladder interface. If you're wondering how to explain all those numbers to your crypto newbie friends, then check out Sulla's guide.

To finish off the week, Cryptrader shares the benefit of his experience with those who are a little more used to the Digitex interface. Those of you on the testnet will know that we have thousands of traders, and market makers contributing liquidity more generously than would be realistic if there was actual money at stake.

In Cryptrader's latest video, he walks through the variations in liquidity on the mainnet compared to the testnet, and provides some insights into how to manage positions accordingly.

So that rounds off another week, and another group onboarded to the mainnet! We'll bring you all the latest news and reviews from the weekend's trading next week, now that we once again have some fresh blood on the DFE.

Wishing all our supporters a great weekend, and thanks as always for sticking with us on the journey to public mainnet launch!

50 More Traders Are Now Trading LIVE

After the storming success of our first week on mainnet, we're delighted to be opening the doors to the next group! We've just admitted another 50 traders to live zero-fee trading on the DFE, and they're having a ball! More on that coming up.

This week on the blog, we've been welcoming some new voices. We started the week with a post from Ali Martinez, an experienced trader and analyst. Ali has written for many of the major crypto publications, including Cryptoslate, CCN, and Crypto Briefing, among others. We're pleased to say that Ali will now be a regular contributor to the Digitex blog in the future!

In his first piece, Ali introduces himself and shares his technical analysis of the DGTX token, which he believes has a bright future based on current trends. Check out why in our Monday blog post.

Team spotlight

Adam mentioned during his most recent AMA that we've been on a hiring spree lately, with a focus on expanding our operations hub in Kyiv, Ukraine. So this week, we introduced the new CTO of Digitex, Alex Lozoviuk, in the latest of our Team Spotlight series! Alex brings extensive experience in the crypto and derivatives space, having developed his own cryptocurrency index and co-founded a global market data aggregator that connected to every futures exchange in the world.

In our Tuesday blog post, Alex shares all the details of his pivotal role at Digitex, gives some insights into the buzzing crypto scene in his home city of Kyiv, and tells us how he spends a typical day working on the DFE.

First week of live trading
on the DFE Mainnet

On Wednesday, it was Cryptrader's turn to provide one of his regular video updates on the progress of the DFE. In the video, he shares his own experiences of live trading, describing the platform as having zero lag or freeze times in the 18-20 hours he'd spent using it during the first week.

He also takes us through some trading sessions captured by himself and his fellow traders, demonstrating how the scalping strategy can be used to reap more in profit than simply buying and holding. Check out the video to see for yourself.

A beginners guide to Digitex Futures

Thursday saw another new voice on the blog. This time, another of our first 20 traders, Sulla, joined us with the first of a series introducing Digitex to complete beginners. Sulla describes his own experiences of having friends and family intrigued by the idea of Digitex but being clueless about where to start.

So he was inspired to write a guide starting from the very beginning - how to buy DGTX tokens using Coinbase as a fiat on ramp. While many of our longtime supporters will already be familiar with the process, Sulla's guide is perfect if you want to introduce your non-crypto friends to the wonders of zero-fee trading!

Finally, the big news of the week - more traders are now live on the DFE! The development team has been very pleased with the stability of the platform, while the first 20 traders haven't been able to find any significant issues in the hundreds of hours they've clocked up over the last week and a half.

So we're now live with 70 traders on the DFE, and hope to welcome more soon! To read more about what the newcomers are saying about the DFE, and how we selected them, check out our Friday blog post.

So that rounds up another action-packed week for Digitex! We have plenty more coming next week, but until then, we wish all our supporters a great weekend ahead. Watch this space for more news and updates about the journey to zero-fee trading!
