📺 The Digitex Demo Video Has Landed

Yes, you read it right! Just three weeks out from the testnet launch, Adam has now released a demo of the Digitex futures trading platform, and you don't want to miss it!

In the demo, Adam is working with BTCUSD perpetual futures, which is the market we'll be launching with. You can see on his screen how the ladder interface is updating in real time based on the trading activity of the automated bots we have running on the testnet.

As Adam explains it, the user experience is as much about what you're not doing as what you are doing. There are no keyboard strokes, minimal mouse movements, and orders can be made or canceled with a single click of the mouse.

Single-Click Trade Submission

We're even making sure your eyes don't need to move from the price action. For example, Adam explains how he's testing the position of the spot price on the screen, so it's as close to the ladder as possible. Currently, the spot price moves up and down the screen with the ladder price, making it easy to see the markets moving as it happens.

With a few deft mouse clicks, you can see how easy it is to place buy or sell orders, all the while following the price movements up and down the ladder.

The screen layout contains all the information you need to keep trading all day. The order book is displayed right next to the ladder, showing all the most recent trade values and quantities. Your total order and position margin are at the top of the screen. The contract and tick value are at the bottom.

A Suite of Social Features

We're also working on a ton of social features, accessible via a separate tab to the main exchange. It looks and feels very much like existing social platforms we all know and love, meaning you can follow other traders, post updates, photos, and videos to your news feed, engage in live chats, and even share content to other social platforms.

From his days in the trading pits, Adam knows the value of interacting with other traders and he wants the Digitex experience to be as social as possible.

Of course, the platform is still under development, which Adam explains in the video. The final testnet version isn't ready quite yet. Also, the social features won't be ready until after we launch.

However, all our supporters have been so patient while we've been hard at work #BUIDLing Digitex with SmartDec, so we're thrilled that we can now finally share this demo with you!

AMA with Adam on Tuesday

Our community is nothing if not vocal, and we know you guys have a ton of questions about the Digitex Futures platform. So, as usual, Adam will be ready and waiting at one of his customary live AMAs. This time, we're also inviting SmartDec's Lead Developer, Alexander Chernov along to help answer your questions, and explain in more detail how they will be handling the testnet phase of the development.

If you want to take part in the AMA live on our YouTube channel, then block your calendar for 1600 UTC this coming Tuesday, November 12. It will be around 30 minutes long, during which Adam and Chernov will aim to get through as many of your questions as they can.

If you can't make it for the live AMA stream, then don't worry. Like all our live videos, it will remain on YouTube to watch later.

The Calm Before the Zero-Fee Trading Storm?

It's been a relatively quiet week in the crypto markets, with none of the major price movements we've seen over the last few weeks, and not much going on in the news either. Is everyone sitting quietly, patiently HODLing their cryptos, waiting in eager anticipation for the zero-fee trading revolution to begin? We'd like to think so!

Back in Adam's pit trading days, he could gauge the markets by looking around him at what other traders were doing. These days, we trade on screens, meaning we need other ways to read market activities.

Thankfully, there are many handy tools and platforms that help traders keep a solid overview of market activities. Our
blog post rounds up the best of them in one handy list.

Most of our followers know that Digitex has been stayingbased in the SmartDec's offices in Moscow ever since the team there took over the development of our trading platform. What we didn't realize when we first moved to Russia is that Digitex would be setting up home smack-bang in the middle of a vibrant startup and tech scene.

Also on the blog, we've shared some of the details of what it's like to work among this young and buzzing community.
Digitex in the Press

After our run in the finance press in recent weeks, we're back in the blockchain news again - literally.

Blockchain.news
ran a piece on the faces behind the crypto futures markets, featuring the likes of BitMEX's Arthur Hayes, Kraken's Jesse Powell, and our very own Adam Todd.

And mamma mia, Digitex is now even gaining recognition in continental Europe! Italian publication Amicaborsa picked DGTX for its "crypto of the week" feature. Of course, the article is written in Italian, but we're pretty sure they only had good things to say about the opportunity for zero-fee trading. Grazie milla for the feature, Amicaborsa!

Twenty-two days until the revolution begins! Until next time!
