| | Although it's likely to be a quiet Easter weekend for anyone who usually celebrates, there are plenty of reasons that we at Digitex are looking forward to an egg-ceptional spring! Not least because it's now only a little over two weeks until we welcome the first group of 20 traders to zero-fee trading on the live Digitex mainnet.
The initial onboarding will be a continuation of the rigorous testing we've been doing over the last four months. By starting with a small group and ramping up over time, we can guarantee that once we're fully live and open to the public, the #DFE will be THE most robust and user-ready futures trading platform on the market.

We have plenty more information about development progress and the mainnet onboarding from this week's blog content and Adam's AMA today. In fact, we started off on Monday this week with an update from Katerina Troshina, who leads the development effort.
Katerina confirmed that the new mobile UI is just about ready to drop onto the Digitex beta platform, which will be the last update for a while as the team prepares to move into a code freeze in order to prepare the mainnet for opening to live traders. It's now four weeks since that crazy day in mid-March when the bottom fell out of the crypto markets in a spectacular fashion. In the time since then, the futures markets have been showing some intriguing patterns. BitMEX came under fire for its role in the plummeting price of Bitcoin, after its servers went offline during the critical period. Now, it seems that traders are voting with their feet. Open interest and volume charts appear to show an increasing appetite for smaller exchanges, while BitMEX looks to be struggling in its recovery to pre-crash levels.

We know you've all been burning with questions about how the mainnet launch is going to work. After all, some of you have been waiting for this since the ICO over two years ago. Now, with only a few weeks to go and having agreed with the development team how we'll manage the onboarding, Adam decided it's high time to get on camera once again for one of his customary AMA sessions.
