BITCOINIST
2018 has been a bear market of unprecedented proportions, it's been brutal from start to finish. The pain of owning cryptocurrency this year has been unrelenting and it's had a very negative effect on the price of DGTX. Every time our price popped up the overall crypto market would have another nasty crash and we'd get dragged down again. However, the price of DGTX has still risen by 500%+ this year, even after the recent crashes that saw ETH drop over 90% in value in the same period. In normal market conditions the price of DGTX would be much higher but despite this, we are still going strong and we are still on track to release a great product to a large waitling list of users. |

CRYPTO GLOBE
In the midst of one of the biggest market slumps crypto's seen for a long time, there are still the occasional good news stories to share. While the bear market is no fun for investors playing the long game, it's a time that allows legitimate blockchain companies to get the hard work done and scale up for mass adoption. That's exactly what Digitex Futures has been doing, spending this year working to build the world's first commission-free futures trading exchange with a Beta launch in the new year. And they currently have more than 600K users signed up to their Early Access Waitlist! |

GLOBAL COIN REPORT Ethereum too is working hard on scaling solutions like SNARKs and the plasma protocol. Plasma will essentially allow hundreds of thousands of transactions to happen off-chain enabling mass adoption and speed without clogging up the network. A few companies are working on incorporating plasma into their technology stack. Digitex Futures, for example, as a hybrid exchange, will use the speed of centralized servers for matching orders and plasma technology to offer decentralized account balances... |

DIGITEX vs OTHER EXCHANGES? |
|

In terms of the comparison between Digitex and Bakkt, these exchanges are not competing for the same target market. In other words, both exchanges will capture the attention of two different user groups in the cryptocurrency universe. For example, Digitex is much more interested in attracting the attention of active retail traders who are searching for an exchange that offers liquidity and low fees. Conversely, Bakkt is more focused on the institutional client who is looking for a "one-stop shop" of custody, warehousing, and merchant services. If we compare Bakkt's Bitcoin futures contract against the Digitex contract, Digitex is easily the better choice, particularly for the active retail crypto trader.... |

There are plenty of other cryptocurrency exchanges out there and some of them, like OKEx, offer futures trading as well as spot. But if you're going to enter a competitive market, you need to be doing something different or better than the rest. No other futures exchange offers commission-free trading–and that alone makes us an industry first! Add to that the transparency of operations that we will bring to the market with the decentralized account balances of a non-custodial exchange, and we're pretty sure we've got a winning product on our hands. But let's take a look at some of the features, characteristics, products, and reputation that another exchange in the space has to offer. |

Everyone's heard of Binance, the world's biggest exchange by trading volume. It's quite astonishing the position it's reached to dominate the market when you consider that the Binance ICO was held just last year. With such blockchain companies already making history, the team at Digitex and all our community are anxious for the Beta launch of the futures exchange on January 15. But how does the BNB token work compared to the DGTX? What are the similarities and differences of the Binance exchange compared to Digitex Futures? And what kind of potential are we talking about for 2019 and beyond? |

October 31, 2018, marked the 10th anniversary of Bitcoin. Exactly one decade earlier, Satoshi Nakamoto released his white paper outlining a peer-to-peer version of electronic cash, which became known as Bitcoin. Since its inception in 2009, BTC has experienced five major declines of greater than 50%. This includes the most recent decline of 82%. Each brutal price decline was eventually followed by a new all-time historic high. Based on this information, Bitcoin will eventually exceed its high from December 18, 2017. In percentage terms, Bitcoin's average price decline is 74.8%. Therefore, the current price decline has exceeded the average decline by 7.3%. Based on this information, Bitcoin is probably very close to its final bottom. |

Using an exchange like CME or Nasdaq to store digital assets comes with the same security concerns as using centralized cryptocurrency exchanges such as Coinbase or Bithumb. Centralized exchanges are susceptible to hackers, as in the case of Mt.Gox, which lost $473 million to attackers in 2014... As a non-custodial exchange, Digitex doesn't hold traders' funds on our platform. The Digitex exchange provides real-time settlement of futures trades with the security of decentralized account balances. Account balances are held by independent, decentralized smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain, which provides an extraordinary level of assurance for our users. |

Thankfully, for those of us involved in crypto futures trading, there's no difference between buying and selling a cryptocurrency contract. In other words, it's just as easy to buy a futures contract as it is to sell a futures contract. The process is exactly the same. Many newer members of the crypto community are unaware that it's possible to generate a profit from falling cryptocurrency prices. Let's review an example using the contract specifications from the Digitex Futures exchange. |
